Bantwal: Lorry rams into vehicles, fuel station after its driver has seizure

Bantwal, Mar 8: The driver of a lorry on the move had a seizure on B C Road here on Wednesday March 8 after which his vehicle rammed into the vehicles parked on the roadside and also a fuel station.

Fortunately, there was no loss of life in the incident. The accident occurred near B C road fuel station when the empty vehicle was on its way to Hassan from Mangaluru.

The driver is identified as Lakshman. He has been admitted to the hospital and is being treated.

The lorry rammed into a car which was being refuelled, a motorcycle and other vehicles parked on the roadside before ramming against another car and finally coming to a stop.

    Department of Transportation in USA requires truck drivers to have a mandatory yearly Physical Examination to be able to have truck driving license. I am not sure if there is such a requirement for truck drivers in India.

    I think driver had already tanked full so that couldnt see what is on the road and before his eyes.
