Udupi: Accused in burglary at Manipal apartment arrested

Udupi, Feb 8: Manipal police arrested Murali N D, a resident of Bhadravathi, Shivamogga district, an accused, on charges of burglary in a Manipal apartment.

Murali was already an old and a known accused in many cases in Bhadravathi.

On January 28, a two-bedroom flat on the second floor of an apartment in Vidyaratna Nagar in Manipal was burgled. The thieves had made away with laptop, camera, smart watch, power bank purse and 3 mobile phone handsets altogether valued at Rs 3,23,500.

The accused was apprehended under the guidance of Udupi SP Akshay Machindra by Additional SP Siddalingappa and members of his team that comprised Udupi DySP Dinakar K P, Manipal police inspector Devaraj T V, PSIs Naveen Nayak and Rukma Nayak, staffers Thomas, Abdul Razak and Arun Kumar in an operation to nab the accused successfully.
