Gold worth over Rs 90 lac confiscated at Mangaluru International Airport from five passengers

Mangaluru, Feb 4: Customs officials of Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) here have confiscated 1.617 kg of gold worth Rs 90,34,970 from five male passengers between January 19 to 31.

These passengers were trying to transport the gold in beadings of trolley bags, hiding in rectum and many other methods.

Customs officials have confiscated cigarettes and E-cigarettes worth Rs 6,42,740 from male passengers who arrived from Dubai.

Further investigation is on.

    Abdul, Kasargod/Bhatkal passengers are no way comparable to big fishes. In jul 2013, there was a news of four trucks with over 150 bags of cash heading to gujrat was seized in Mumbai. There is no more information about it in public domain. Try to guess the town of such big fishes.

    Looks like within ten days many more passengers carrying gold slipped out easily and for record intercepted only five passengers. Without the help of customs officials it cannot be done so easy. They think what they are doing is not and not commited any sin. Lok Heenghe Nadeuthade..swami by which they buy land/apartments according to there wish.
