Kundapur, Feb 1: Former Kundapur taluk panchayat vice president Kishan Hegde laid foundation on Wednesday for various works to be conducted at a cost of Rs 1.75 crore at Balkur gram panchayat (GP) limits. He said that Kabbina Gadde road will be developed at a cost of Rs 50 lac, Gubbi Hadi road at a cost of Rs 25 lac, Salimane Bettina Road at a cost of Rs 50 lac and the road from Panakadakatte to Guthikere at a cost of Rs 50 lac on recommendations from Kundapur MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty.
Balkur gram panchayat president Nischith Shetty, gram panchayat member Nagesh Sherugar, Akshath Sherugar, Girija, Sushila, Karthik Scanning proprietor Venkatramana Udupa, former member Ganesh Acharya, Sadananda Balkur, Laxman Poojary, Thilak, former taluk panchayat member Poornima, Nagaraj Basrur, Shamala and Poornima were present.
