Mangaluru, Jan 30: Akshith Suvarna, president of Dakshina Kannada youth JD(S) said that the public statement given by VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell that they killed Fazil in retaliation to the murder of Sullia BJP youth leader Praveen Nettaru, is a shocking and dangerous development to the society.

Condemning the provocative statement of Sharan Pumpwell, Akshit said, “The statement of Sharan Pumpwell, being a Hindu leader, is a challenge to the judiciary system of our country. This is direct affirmation of chief minister Basavaraj Bommai’s statement of reaction to action. The hidden agenda of VHP and BJP is killing innocents. It is really shameful that the police department is turning a blind eye without taking action on Sharan who has given statements that will create fear in the minds of people. The statements of this nature shows the shameful work done by the union government.

“The statement given by Sharan provokes friction and murders in the society. This kind of statement is making innocent youths to do anti-social activities by creating friction between different communities as the assembly elections are nearing. Police should register case against Sharan Pumpwell and take suitable action against him to prevent this kind of anti-social activity,” he said.
