Kundapur: Free eye camp held at Govt Model Higher Primary School

Kundapur, Jan 29: “What we have received for free is our body. When our health becomes our responsibility, we can live peacefully,” said Dr Nagbhushan Udupa, district health officer of Udupi.

Udupa was speaking after inaugurating a free eye camp organized at Ankadakatte Government Model Higher Primary School by various organizations.

Social workers Nityananda Olakadu and Vishu Kumar Shetty Udupi were felicitated. Senior doctors Dr Nagabhushan Udupa, Dr Nagesha and Dr Madhukar were also honoured.

The programme was presided over by Nagaraja D Padukone. Ashok Devadiga, Mumbai, Dr Nagesh, Madhukara Devadiga and Krishna Golla were present.

Nagaraja Rayappanamata welcomed the gathering. Srimathi rendered the invocation. Shankar Ankadakatte delivered the introductory speech. Purushottam Das proposed a vote of thanks. Teacher Rama Devadiga compered the event.
