Udupi, Jan 28: “The mindset of Pramod Madhwaraj has become narrow. After gaining power and position in Congress, now he has betrayed the party. The Congress party will not entertain such comments,” said Udupi district Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavooru in a press release.

He said, “Before talking about former chief minister Siddaramaiah on his political culture, let Madhwaraj contemplate about his political culture. He is the beneficiary of Congress. He did not build the party. He need not be in illusion. From Congress, Madhwaraj became an MLA, minister and acquired the topmost position in the power. But, he never gave justice to these posts. People in the district are aware of who was the reason for the defeat of Congress in the past elections.”

He also said that Congress leaders and party workers are not in a position to do politics with funds from JD(S). “As there is no constituency for him to contest the forthcoming elections, to entertain BJP leaders, Madhwaraj is giving such statements. Before teaching about the meeting rules to Congress, let him speak about the insult to him that is taking place in his party,” he said.

“The person who was supposed to sit in front in convention centers is now sitting in the last rows. He will regret betraying Congress,” he added.
