Bantwal, Jan 27: “There are more false promises than truth in politics. But MLA Rajesh Naik has formed a new Bantwal. There will be harmony when we proceed taking everybody in confidence,” said Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai.

He was speaking as the chief orator at the concluding programme of MLA Rajesh Naik’s ‘Grama Vikasa Yatre – Gramadedege Shasakara Nadige’ at Bastipadpu ground, Bantwal on Friday, January 27 evening.

“The governments at the centre and the state are uplifting the farmers. The MLA has conveyed the report card of his development work to the villages. It should reach houses,” he said.

“Congress is misleading people. People cannot be provided money at the rate of Rs 2,000 at any cost. The youth should be alert. We are free from Corona due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi. We need everybody’s cooperation for the party to work more. Congress is adopting the policy of divide and rule like the British rule,” he said.

BJP national chief secretary C T Ravi said that the Prajadhwai rally of the congress was not for listening to the voice of the people but to hurl expletives at the BJP and the prime minister.

“Congress provides schemes on the basis of religions. It is laughable that those who sent farmers to jail for demanding electricity are saying that they will provide 200 units free electricity,” he said.

“MLA Rajesh Naik is free from controversies. You should make sure that he wins again. Be cautious about fake Hindus,” he said.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik said that he was overjoyed by the Grama Vikasa Yatre. “Party is important for me and not any individual. I am not worried about victory in elections as we have our workers supporting us,” he said.

“There is still a lot of work to be done in Bantwal. I have the happiness of putting an end to communal tension. I am grateful for the love shown by the people,” he said.

District BJP president Sudarshan Moodbidri said that Grama vikasa yatre was successful in Bantwal. “BJP will come back to power for the preservation of the country’s culture and tradition,” he said.

BJP Bantwala mandala president Devappa Poojary presided over the hall programme.

Former MLA A Rukmaya Poojary, Padmanabha Kothary, KUWS member Sulochana G K Bhat, Vikas Puttur, district BJP chief secretary Ramdas Bantwal, Kasturi Panja, Sandesh Shetty, Madhava Mave, Sudarshan Baja, BJP Bantwal mandala chief secretary Ravish Shetty Karkala were on the dais.

Rally convener Devadas Shetty explained the various achievements by Rajesh Naik as MLA and welcomed.

Vidyashree Acharya sang Vande Mataram. BJP Bantwal mandala chief secretary Dombaya Arala proposed a vote of thanks. Dinesh Suvarna Rai compered the programme.
