Mangaluru: Ban on Muslim traders around temple fair - Police remove banners

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SS)

Mangaluru, Jan 20: The city police on Thursday January 19 removed all the banners at the Kadri Sri Manjunatha temple fair that prohibited Muslims from carrying out trading and business activity near the temple. The banners were put up by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad- Bajrang Dal.

The fair started on January 15 and will end on January 21. The banners put up by VHP-Bajrang Dal were seen on Thursday which mentions the cooker blast and alleges that the accused's primary target was the Kadri Manjunatha temple. The banner also mentions that people with such a mindset and those who opposed idol worship cannot engage in trade and business during the fair near the place of worship. The banner said only such traders who believed in the rituals and ceremonies of the Hindu religion will be allowed to continue with their trade and business.

The temple administration which falls under the Religious Endowment department did not approve of the banner that was put up in the vicinity of the temple fair.

The police removed the banners with a view to maintain peace and harmony. No complaints were filed in this regard, police said.

WHY BAN, WHOSE LAND IS THIS. EVERY ONE HAS RIGHT TO DO THE BUSINESS ANYWHERE IN INDIA. IT IS OUR GREAT INDIA. NOT FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL ONES. BAN BAN BAN, WHAT THE HELL IT IS. WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND AT ALL. WE DID NOT SEE ANYWHERE ANY TYPE OF NOTICE PUT BY MUSLIMS BANNING ANY OTHER RELIGION. BY PUTTING BAN FOR MUSLIMS. YOU PEOPLE DO NOT THINK THAT. SOME OF THE RELIGION WILL GO UNDER LOSS. EVERY ONES FOOD AND SHELTER IS BEING DECIDED BY OUR GOD. NOT BY ANY INDIVIDUAL. THIS TYPE OF NUISSANCE IS NOTHING BUT CREATING TENSION BETWEEN THE COMMUNITIES. MY DEAR BROTHERS. BE LIKE ONE FAMILY. NO ONE IS PERMANANT IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD.

Why ban ? This is what our prime minister murmured in the ears of Yeddiyurappaji about our muslim community ? On the stage something and off the stage different.....What an administration we are having !!! It is given to understand that during the event of Udupi chalo, people ...with an intention of causing problems to Krishna Mutt by entering forcefully into the mutt(despite entry being open to all) during Pejawar swamyjis Paryaya. ......Our muslim brothers around Udupi stood as protectors around the Krishna mutt and extended whole hearted support to the seers and the mutt. Not bjp/ramsene/bd didnt extended their support and were quiet...... During paryaya, muslim brothern involve in the procession of "ಹೊರೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆ" and contribute to the good cause of helping feed people. Now ....see banners are displayed.....Shame. God doesn't see the caste. We human beings are worst creatures in the world...

Police removed it because banner was tied to police barricades. When people were dying of Covid 19,20,21 these so called hindutva protectors hiding inside rat holes.

This gap is going to be more wider , and both the communities will be engaged in blame game instead of mending ties with each other

This is exactly what BBC was trying to show, how puppets torture some groups but the PM doesn't say anything for 4.5 years of his govt tenure and only wakes up during times of elections.

This is just making them taste their own medicine. Why this hue and cry was not seen when an incidence happened in Gangolli initially where Muslims boycotted Hindu fish merchants???

When corona hit the world, all religious institutions, temples, churches, masjid were all closed. Faithful prayed at their homes for their well being directly to almighty. Almighty possibly tried to open our eyes. But not. Now, covid gone business of religion back in full strength. Stupid are we falling again and again for politics of power and greed.

What does VHP want... Separate nations in each city of India???!!!... Generalization of sporadic incidents is not in the best interest of our plural society... Differences of opinions are fair in democracy and sane societies... That does not mean you outcast anyone and everyone at your whims and fancies... Any public animosity shown like this will have far reaching consequences...
