Mumbai: Bureaucratic Reshuffle in Maharashtra


Mumbai, Jun 1 (PTI) Maharashtra Government transferred 10 IAS officers and 29 Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) rank officials, including two women.

Anita Chavan, who was DSP of Thane, has been shifted to Mumbai as ACP, while Bhagyawati Shende, who was with the State Intelligence Department, has been transferred as DSP in Mumbai, an official release said here.

Apart from Chavan, six other police officers have been transferred to Mumbai as ACPs.

Among the IAS officers, S O Sonawane has been posted as Director, Disaster Management Cell, Revenue and Forest Division in Mantralaya (Secretariat) here.

H K Jawale has been transferred as Collector of neighbouring Raigad district, while Sanjeev Kumar will take over as Collector of Ahmednagar.

Other new District Collectors are: Saurabh Rao (Nagpur), Ramaswamy N (Satara), Shravan Hardikar (Yavatmal) and Abhishek Krishna (Gadchiroli).
