Congress MPs from Telangana Support Minister's Padyatra

Hyderabad, May 30 (PTI) Congress MPs from Telangana region today expressed support for the 'padayatra' undertaken by Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Jupally Krishna Rao in support of separate Telangana state.

"Any effort in support of separate Telangana is appreciable. There should not be any problems with it for anyone," Congress MP, G Sukhender Reddy said.

Reddy and a few other Congress MPs from the region met Rao today.

Rao's 'padayatra' has run into a trouble as his cabinet collegue and Information Minister D K Aruna has objected to it. She alleged that Rao was trying to get political dominance in Mahabubnagar district. Both Rao as well as Aruna belong to Mahabubnagar district.

Aruna objected to the 'padayatra' when it entered her Assembly constituency, Gadwal.

Police took both the ministers into custody to prevent a clash between their supporters on May 21.
