London, May 26 (IANS) A footballer in Britain swapped his 36,000-pound diamond-encrusted watch with a waiter's 150-pound timepiece after a compliment.Vedran Corluka, 25, was at a club in London when he was complimented by the waiter for his expensive watch, The Sun reported.
The footballer then immediately exchanged it for the waiters' watch.
"Charlie took it off and handed it to him.
"Then he spotted the waiter's watch and said he liked it. He said, 'Let's swap'. The waiter thought he was joking. Charlie's a lovely bloke and always polite," a source was quoted as saying.
