Nashik: Charas Worth Rs 2 Crore Seized, Three Held


Nashik, May 25 (PTI) Three youths were arrested on Yeola-Kopargaon Road near here and two kg charas was seized from them, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, that a gang of youths, carrying charas with them, is heading to Yeola from Madhya Pradesh, a police team led by inspector Sunil Kurhade yesterday arrested three youths, including Irfaan Shaikh Sultan (24), Mohmed Shafique Mohmed Raffiq (20) and Sadiq Akhtar Ansari (26), they said.

The contraband recovered was estimated to be worth about two crore rupees in international market, police said, adding that the culprits are residents of Yeola.
