Billava Sangha Kuwait holds annual general body meeting

Kuwait City, Dec 24: The 10th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Billava Sangha Kuwait was held on December 16, at the Dhoom Auditorium, Abuhalifa, Kuwait.

The event commenced with a prayer by Havish Kumar Poojary. Master of Ceremony, Rajesh Kunder welcomed the president and all the BSK members. Lighting of lamp was done by the president Sushma Manoj along with the members of all committees which wass followed by Guru Shloka.

President, Sushma Manoj in her welcome speech appreciated all the committee members for working with unity towards the upliftment of the community.

General secretary Anish Kotian presented the annual report mentioning the activities carried out in the year 2022, while the treasurer Gautham Suvarna read out the financial report for the year 2022, both of which were approved by the members.

Welfare officer, Prashanth Poojary spoke about the scholarship programme and other welfare activities conducted during the year.

Certificates were distributed to the participants who performed at IIK’s Diwali Mela, BPP’s ‘Maithri’ Deepavali celebration, Karunada Dindima organized by BPP-Karnataka Wing and Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration conducted by World Kannada Association.

During the event, ‘Billava Chavadi’ video was released by the president. This annual day function held on September 13 at Aspire Indian International School, Abbasiya, Kuwait.

Talent show (singing, dance and drawing) was held for the members to bring out the best talent in them. Materials for coloring and drawing were provided by M/s Manoj Drawing Class.

Re-elected president Sushma Manoj addressed the gathering and requested the full cooperation from all the Committee members in fulfilling his duties towards the association.

Vote of thanks was given by the general secretary Anish Kotian.

The programme was concluded with dinner.
