Mumbai, Dec 8: Ashok S Suvarna, editor of Mogaveera monthly magazine, professor, author and organizer has been selected for an award from Dr Vishwanath Karnad Prathistana for the year 2022.

The award consists of Rs 7,500 cash, certificate and panel. The award will be presented by Dr Kalegowda Nagawara, Janapada scholar and retired professor of Mysuru university in the programme that will be held at Andheri east in the evening on December 24.

Suvarna has retired after being a bank officer and has indulged creatively as a journalist, organizer and in cultural activities. His contribution to Kannada journalism is immense.
