Mangaluru: Container truck hits electricity pole, six street lights worth Rs 90,000 damaged

Mangaluru, Dec 6: A truck hit the electricity pole on the divider at Haripadavu road in the city on the evening of Saturday.

Container truck was moving on the wrong side of the road that goes from Yeyyady to Haripadavu. It crashed on to the octagonal shaped electricity pole that carried six street lights on it. The pole fell down due to the impact and all the six street lights got damaged.

According to the city corporation officials, the loss is estimated to be Rs 90,000. A case is filed with police by the authorities.
