Great Prashant. I knew him also very well. Thats why I advocate counselling to people going through depression. Committing suicide is a split second decision. He was a great social worker in CK Church. Very admirable. Either one should visit Potta D retreat center or see a Physciatrist. Simply taking one's life is not correct.

Kevin was a great soul and who never would have succumbed to taking his own life. He was 58 years old and was very close associate of mine. He was a great writer of Konkani, well educated with a first class degree in commerce from Bhuvanendra College and was very active in sports during his youth time. He was very active in church activities, had directed many dramas during his youth time. Until recently he was very active in Catholic Sabha and other social awareness groups. He was working for Christ King College for sometime, but a year ago, he had opted to pursue other interests and left the job with CK College. He was a down to earth soul inspite of he being well known as a great writer of Konkani literature. His works are of a high quality and his writings/stories were just mesmerized his readers. He had stopped writing few years ago but occasionally used to write for church magazines and other Konkani papers. He lost his parents at very young age in an accident which left a huge dent in his life. He had to work hard in his parents land to make a living. Today I have lost a very good and kind hearted friend, with whom I had spent memorable times in the past. I used to visit him during every visit to my hometown and have some good times. A non alcoholic and he had no bad habits. However, he was bit depressed recently and must have taken this step out of concern to his family. He was not sick nor he had any financial problems. Its just that we do not know what happened to him before taking his own life. Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again.

May his soul rest in peace. Peace & comfort to his family, relatives, and friends. CPR steps: Quick reference Use CPR when an adult is not breathing or when they are only gasping occasionally, and when they are not responding to questions or taps on the shoulder. Check that the area is safe, then perform the following basic CPR steps: Call an ambulance or ask someone else to. Lay the person on their back and open their airway. Check for breathing. If they are not breathing, start CPR. Place the heel of your hand on the center of the person's chest, then place the palm of your other hand on top and press down by 5 to 6cm (2 to 2.5 inches) at a steady rate of 100 to 120 compressions a minute. After every 30 chest compressions, give 2 rescue breaths. Repeat until an ambulance or automated external defibrillator (AED) arrives. Do NOT give water to drink or any sort of food/liquid.
