Abu Dhabi: KCO to host Konkani drama ‘Sikeram Driver’ on Nov 19

Abu Dhabi, Oct 31: Broadway Events and Productions in association with Konkani Cultural Organization (KCO), Abu Dhabi after a long-haul is all set to hit back with an internationally acclaimed Konkani drama for all Konkani lovers in UAE.

Presented by the originals Dony Correa & team, Mick Max’s acclaimed Konkani drama ‘Sikeram Driver’ will be staged on Saturday November 19 at St Joseph’s School Auditorium, Abu Dhabi at 7 pm sharp.

The organizers, Konkani Cultural Organization (KCO), under the able leadership of the newly elected president Jason Correa, advisors and the core members have made every effort to captivate Abu Dhabi with this super hit drama. The organizers are expecting a house full show as most of the seats are beginning to be sold out. They have requested Konkani lovers in and around Abu Dhabi to block their seats as soon to ensure a front row seat.

Inspired by their success in the past and the response they have received from the community towards their previous ventures, KCO is planning this exciting evening that their audience will surely enjoy and appreciate.

Dony Correa, a popular name among Mangalureans in the UAE, who has created waves in the field of music and entertainment, is the mastermind behind the whole creative mega event. After several house-full shows in Dubai, Bahrain and the recent show in London; Dony Correa along with Dubai’s well-known artistes is all set to exhibit the much-acclaimed Konkani drama ‘Sikeram Driver’. The drama is written by well-known Konkani writer late Mick Max, a known name in the field of Konkani literature, drama and music. He was specially known for his artistic plays which generally depict truth of life and lessons for the society. Late Mick Max’s award-winning creation ‘Sikeram Driver’ has been well-known as his best script. The previous shows were a huge hit which was a result of a great direction, excellent acting skills, wonderful music and apt lighting.

Renowned actors Asha Correa, Irene Mendonca, Cleevan Mendonca, Sunil Suvarna, Vincy Lobo, Robert Mendonca, Veena Mendonca and Dony himself will be the characters of Sikeram Driver. Music is provided by the most popular and theatre trained professional musician Rohan Kalakul.

Dony Correa the actor and director of the drama along with the organizers promise an evening of nostalgia, fun, memorable moments, and a super hit drama to fulfil the vacuum created by the pandemic. The event will be managed by Broadway Events and Productions, a well-known event and production company in the UAE.
