Udupi, Oct 4: Vegetables day was celebrated at Christ School Manipal on September 27.
The kids of Kindergarten had a pleasant Veggie day celebration. The programme began with a prayer song to invoke God's blessings. Pictures of different types of vegetables were presented to students. Children brought vegetables of their choice. Children were then made to recite rhymes and held to speak on the importance of vegetables.
Teachers gave explanations on uses and importance of vegetables and where to grow them. Children participated in various games such as, identifying the different types of vegetables, identifying the color and the vegetables and how the vegetables will improve their immune system and growth.
