Udupi, Oct 4: Gandhi Jayathi and the birthday of Lal Bahadur Shasthri was celebrated at Christ School, Manipal on October 2.

Fr Romeo Lewis, correspondent and other dignitaries offered flowers to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Sarva Dharma prayer was also held on the occasion. Students along with staff took part in the cleanliness drive and cleaned the school campus.

Selia of Class 9 compered the programme. Ananya of Class 9 welcomed the gathering, Vaishnavi Kulal proposed a vote of thanks.

Anita Monis, president Catholic Sabha Christ Church Eliza vaz, principal Praveena, Scout Master were present on the occasion.

Scouts / Guides students visited the Manipal Police Station and took part in Sarva Dharma Prayer to strengthen the feeling of one and to show all of us belong to one nation.
