Kasargod, Sep 23: The bandh call given by Popular Front of India (PFI) in the state of Kerala, condemning NIA raid on the offices and houses of leaders of its party, has evoked mixed response in the district.

Stones were hurled at a goods truck on Friday September 23 morning. In other places, peaceful bandh is being observed.

Buses in the district including KSRTC are completely off the road. Private vehicles are plying as usual. Bandh timings are from 6 am to 6 pm.

PFI leaders said that protest meeting will be held at Hosangadi, Uppala and Kasargod later in the day.

No Islamic countries entertain extreme religious groups who promote terrorism because they know what will be the end results. This kind of activities are flourishing in India because of political drawbacks, anti India elements & misguided people. These extreme groups will be happy if they are allowed to do all illegal activities (which are very dangerous for our Nation & people) without interfering in their business! or else they will shout 'Go back NIA' & all!!! Recently a young lady got killed by religious police for not wearing hijab, hence many Iranian ladies protesting by burning the head scarf..

The border has to be sealed immediately. It has been obvious that all elements will flee to Mangaluru after committing their crimes in Kerala. Playin the victim card is their birthright!

Adh Sheri. Any Keralite who can afford has moved out of the state to Bengaluru, Mumbai and even Mangalore. Including myself. This nuisance has started long long time back perhaps a decade back, but not open. Now its on the streets. Just a matter of time the state Govt is hijacked in full force. Whoever said 'Gods own country' may have to check his rear end cos thats where his /her brain is.

Bandh is anti public... It is where one group wants to impose hardship on an unconnected group of people... NIA has to do its duty... Bomb blasts do not target a specific community people... When such mindless action happens people across communities loose lives and are amputated for life... This is a welcome and timely crackdown in the interest of peace in the nation... Also it sends strong signal across the seas to the sympathizers and handlers all of us very well know where they emanate...
