Mumbai: Cultural Committee of K'taka Sangh, Chembur Stages ‘Panchavati Valimoksha’

Mumbai, Apr 24: The cultural committee of Karnataka Sangh – Chembur staged ‘Panchavati – Valimoksha’ Yakshagana play at Karnataka School ground, Chembur, here on Saturday April 23 evening.

Karnataka Sangh president Prabhakar Shetty Bolar inaugurated the programme.



Secretary Ranjan Kumar Amin and treasurer Devdas Shettigar honoured the veteran Yakshagana artistes.

Joint secretary Vishwanath Shenava, joint treasurer Madhukar G Bailoor, cultural committee secretary T R Shetty, organizer Dayasagar Chowta and others were present on the dais.

Polya Laxmi Narayan Shetty, Jayaprakash Nidwannaya and Sumangala G Shetty were the lead artistes, while Anand Shetty Madhu Palan, Mohan Baipadittaya and N P Bangera were the playback musicians assisted in staging Yakshagana play.

Vasu Marnad, Nagesh Kumar, Ramachandra Salian, T R Shetty, Ganesh Shetty, Narayan Kumble, Praveen Shetty, K Govind, Karthik Shetty, Damodar Shetty Iruvail and Manadi Sadanand Shetty were the other artistes of the Yakshagana play.
