Mangaluru: Kankanady police station head constable dies due to illness

Mangaluru, Sep 20: Jayant Kumar H R, head constable of Kankanady police station, died of severe illness on Monday September 19 evening at Father Muller Hospital in the city.

Jayant is the son of H P Ramachandra and Chandravati couple, residents of Sri Durga Soujanya Lane, Bikkarnakatte.

Jayant had joined Karnataka police department on October 3, 1997 and worked in Sullia, Mangaluru city north and south, Urwa police stations.

He was serving in Kankanady police station for the past four years.
