Sullia: Congress activists leave to Bengaluru for 'Raj Bhavan Chalo'

Sullia, Jan 19: For joining hands with the nation-wide protest being held against farm laws, Congress activists from here will be travelling today to Bengaluru to join the 'Raj Bhavan Chaloi' protest being held there on Wednesday January 20. This information was given by Sullia block Congress president, N Jayaprakashi Rai, at a press conference he addressed on Monday.

"We congratulate Angara from here on his becoming minister. We hope that at least henceforth problems here will get solved. Angara became MLA six times from here. We want him to handle long term demand for 110 kv power unit, and address the threat of Kasturirangan report implementation. Let him provide compensation to farmers whose arecanut plantations have been afflicted by diseases. Let the taluk have a new stadium in his period. He should also address housing problems, garbage issues, clean drinking water unit etc," he stated.

Block Congress media spokesperson,Bhavanishankar Kalmadka, Nandaraj Sankesh, town panchayat former president, S Samshuddin and others were present.
