Bantwal, Jan 18: On the basis of credible information, Bantwal police circle inspector, T D Nagaraj, along with the sub-inspector of the town station here, Avinath, and accompanied by other staff, raided a room at the basement of Bharath Complex B C Road at around 10.30 pm on Sunday January 17.
The police personnel found that five women, as well as Sharan (28) from Nekkilady Puttur, Bharath (28) from Kariangala, Bantwal, and Kiran K (25) from Puttur Chikamudnoor, were engaged in operating a prostitution racket there. A sum of Rs 4,400 was said to be generated out of flesh trade, and other items were seized on the occasion.
