Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jan 14: Though the cinema theatres and multiplexes, which had closed down due to the coronavirus pandemic for a long time, opened a couple of months ago, people were scared to go to the theatres to watch movie due to the fear of getting infected with coronavirus. However, on Wednesday January 13 almost all the cinema theatres and multiplexes in the city reported houseful for the Tamil movie 'Master' starring Vijay.

Suchithra theatre has five shows in a day including the first show which starts at 6.30 am. All the shows reported houseful. Four shows in Cinepolis, three shows in Big Cinemas and four shows in PVR multiplexes also were houseful.

This is the first movie which has reported houseful audience after reopening of the theatres, which were closed since March 2020 for lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic.

In a closed area with AC circulating same air , it does not matter if one wears the mask or without the mask . The new strain is known to be extremely infectious. I don't think theatre is a safe place till this pandemic subsides. But then who knows, India has already proved to be un affected by Covid 19 to a large extent thanks to the herd immunity gained by unhealthy living with dirty water, unhygienic and adulterated food, 40% fake medicines etc. Our survival instinct is however greater than most other European countries.
