Mangaluru Jan 12: Vishwa Hindu Parishad will hold a campaign to raise funds for the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya from January 15 to February 5, informed regional secretary Sharan Pumpwell.

Addressing media here on Tuesday, January 12, Sharan Pumpwell said, “Recently, the foundation stone was laid for Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Under Shri Rama Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust, Vishwa Hindu Parishad will conduct a fundraising campaign from January 15 to February 5.”

Regional secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Sharan Pumpwell said, “VHP representatives will visit every household and collect funds for Ram Mandir. We have formed a team at 4,000 booths, each booth carries 25 members and will collect fund from people in Mangaluru region. We have printed coupons of Rs 10, Rs 100 and Rs 1,000. Those willing to donate Rs 2,000 or more, receipts will be given to them. The fund collection will be completely transparent and the money collected will be credited to bank accounts at State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and Punjab National Bank.

“There will be no scope of irregularities in collecting funds. The receipt coupons are being printed by the central government. Except for Vishwa Hindu Parishad, no other organisations are involved in the campaign. The members who are part of the campaign should register themselves. Separate IDs have been issued to those who visit the bank to credit the funds to bank accounts. Our aim is to collect up to Rs 25 crore through this campaign in Mangaluru region,” he said.

Regional working president M B Puranik, district president VHP Gopal Kutthar, district secretary Shivanand Mendon, regional co-secretary Krishna Murthy, regional convenor Bajrang Dal Bujanga Kulal and others were present.

I have no relatives or acquaintances in VHP. I don't wish to converse with strangers forcefully walking into my private home. That is if we still have the right to privacy that is if human rights are still followed in Karnataka.

This is not our culture for group of men to enter unannounced in family homes. How will their house women feel if strangers men entering their houses and porch.
They can take my cut from income tax ask the IT office. No need to come near my children.
These were causing such a manace in MP. I don't want outside men and women entering my house.
Best thing is open booths there are many families where joyfully waiting for opportunity to donate.

it is better to corporatise this...

IPO should be made to offer shares in Ram Mandir Corporation.

Once the Mandir is built, the surplus (kaanike/denige/offerings etc. to Lord Ram) above expenses of the temple should be distributed to shareholders as Dividend...

Most of the people will become rich for sure. Collecting donation means keeping some percentage of the amount is for sure, people think of religious places later but first benefit for themselves.
Donation should be through transfer to bank account than only transparency in funds deposited in the bank account will be accurate.

So confident that you are, do you have the account of 'Brick cost' that was collected since 1992 ? How much got accumulated, where it was deposited, to what figure it has grown, do you have the information ?

What stops you or the responsible from sharing it ?? That will prove the honesty and it will convince the. masses to donate more.

Oh yes, Floral, please go ahead and contribute generously. I didn't see any comment here that is calling on people not to contribute.

The effort is to say that it shouldn't be how several crores were poured to clean river Ganges (Ganga) with no positive results. Surprisingly, come Lockdown, the water turned crystal clear. How ? Because, all factories on the river bank were closed. There was no affluent that were drained into the river.

Did you see how our Bhakti towards River Ganga was blackmailed ? The government had no guts to investigate the source of pollution and order the factories shut ?? Couldn't so many crores be used for some more important cause ?? This is how we melted the moment Modi told that he left his 'Ghar Parivaar' to save the nation from getting converted to Islam/Christianity.

Did we question him what was his agenda to revive Hinduism ? No, we voted, voted, voted. See the status of Indian economy today. How was it in 2014 ? You just think about it.

Instead of VHP/RS/BD collecting the funds from people, I feel that an account be opened to contribute the donations. Please don't make the account as 'PM Cares Fund' that is not answerable to PILs nor is auditable. Hope the authorities understand why I am requesting this.

What are you talking ? They have given 'all inclusive' donations whether its for Party Fund or PM Cares.
Nothing small like 35% - contributions ran in volumes like 200 CRORES.

They are now waiting for the Farm Bills to function so that their returns will reap. Just like we wait for the refund of GST or ITR

    LN,

Why shouldn't I question ?? What harm will it make if the information is made public ? Am I asking some national security related information ?

Anybody who is seeking public funding, is liable to accountability. Is th law different to VHP/BD/RSS ?
