Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 30: Dakshina Kannada has reported 31 new cases on Wednesday. As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 4,65,201 samples have been tested so far, out of which 4,32,352 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district stands at 32,849, out of which only 365 are currently active.

As many as 39 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday. The district has so far recorded 732 deaths due to coronavirus.

So far, the district administration has collected a whopping Rs 19,96,028 as fine in 18,753 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 2,84,110 samples have been tested so far, out of which 2,61,071 have turned out to be negative.

11 cases were reported on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases to 23,039, out of which only 62 are currently active.

As many as 15 patients were discharged from hospitals on Wednesday; the district has reported 188 deaths due to coronavirus so far.

While Udupi reported eight of the eleven new cases, Kundapur recorded one, Karkala added one and another was from outside the district.
