Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 17: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 40 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 32,484. Out of these, 424 cases are currently active.

A total of 4,23,267 samples have been tested. Out of which, 3,90,783 are negative.

As many as 23 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,328.

A total of 732 deaths have occured so far, including one on Thursday.

Over 17,429 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 18,44,297 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,941, including 15 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 126 cases are currently active.

Over 2,69,553 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,46,612 have turned out negative.

As many as 11 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,628.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
