Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 12: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 53 fresh coronavirus cases on Saturday raising the tally to 32,325. Out of these, 420 cases are currently active.
A total of 4,00,179 samples have been tested. Out of which, 3,67,854 are negative.
As many as 43 people were discharged on Saturday, a total of 730 deaths have occurred so far, including two deaths on Saturday.
Over 16,697 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 17,73,897 in fines have been collected by the authorities.
Udupi
The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,884, including 21 fresh cases on Saturday. Out of these, 138 cases are currently active.
Over 2,63,971 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,41,087 have turned out negative.
As many as 27 patients were discharged on Saturday. A total of 187 deaths have occurred so far.
