Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 8: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 27 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday raising the tally to 32,179. Out of these, 477 cases are currently active.

A total of 3,89,239 samples have been tested. Out of which, 3,57,060 are negative.

As many as 47 people were discharged on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 30,980.

A total of 722 deaths have occured so far, including two deaths on Tuesday.

Over 15,980 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 17,02,872 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,814, including 10 fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 127 cases are currently active.

Over 2,58,691 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,35,877 have turned out negative.

As many as 38 patients were discharged on Tuesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,500.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
