Nov 18: Dakshina Kannada records 45 fresh corona cases, two deaths; Udupi reports 32 new infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 18: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 45 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 31,384. Out of these, 667 cases are currently active.

A total of 3,10,981 samples have been tested. Out of which, 2,79,597 are negative.

As many as 57 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 30,019.

A total of 698 deaths have occured so far, including two on Wednesday.

Over 13,362 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 14,46,642 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,433, including 32 fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 183 cases are currently active.

Over 2,17,554 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,95,121 have turned out negative.

As many as 28 patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,031.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
