Nov 16: Dakshina Kannada records 50 fresh corona cases, 1 death; Udupi reports 9 new infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 16: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 50 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday raising the tally to 31,309. Out of these, 744 cases are currently active.

A total of 3,01,550 samples have been tested. Out of which, 2,70,241 are negative.

As many as 71 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 29,871.

A total of 694 deaths have occured so far, including one on Monday.

Over 13,135 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 14,21,717 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,360, including nine fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 226 cases are currently active.

Over 2,13,990 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,91,630 have turned out negative.

As many as 24 patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 21,916.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
