Nov 12: Dakshina Kannada records 53 fresh corona cases, Udupi 36; zero deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 12: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 53 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 31,118. Out of these, 774 cases are currently active.

A total of 2,89,422 samples have been tested. Out of which, 2,58,304 are negative.

As many as 104 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 29,654.

A total of 690 deaths have occured so far.

Over 12,273 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 13,34,442 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,309, including 36 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 332 cases are currently active.

Over 2,05,221 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,82,912 have turned out negative.

As many as 20 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 21,791.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.

    Daily testing done and positive found amongst them would be a better indicater. Total tests done is far more difficult to track.
