Nov 6: Dakshina Kannada records 79 fresh corona cases, Udupi 62; three deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 6: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 79 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 30,747. Out of these, 1,127 cases are currently active.

A total of 2,70,039 samples have been tested. Out of which, 2,39,292 are negative.

As many as 223 people were discharged on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 28,934.

A total of 686 deaths have occured so far, including two on Friday.

Over 11,278 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 12,34,742 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,143, including 62 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 427 cases are currently active.

Over 1,94,198 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,72,055 have turned out negative.

As many as 64 patients were discharged on Friday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 21,532.

A total of 186 deaths have occured so far, including one on Friday.
