Nov 5: Dakshina Kannada records 83 fresh corona cases, Udupi 45; four deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 5: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 83 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 30,668. Out of these, 1,273 cases are currently active.

A total of 2,67,352 samples have been tested. Out of which, 2,36,684 are negative.

As many as 151 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 28,711.

A total of 684 deaths have occured so far, including three on Thursday.

Over 11,220 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 12,29,502 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,082, including 45 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 431 cases are currently active.

Over 1,92,132 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,70,050 have turned out negative.

As many as 66 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 21,468.

A total of 185 deaths have occured so far, including one on Thursday.
