Mangaluru: 'BJP to reintroduce stringent version of anti-cow slaughter law': Arvind Limbavali

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (DV)

Mangaluru, Nov 5: The core committee of the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday resolved to reintroduce a stringent version of an anti-cow slaughter law.

This was announced by the BJP state vice-president Arvind Limbavali. Briefing journalists at the hotel Ocean Pearl here on the proceedings of the core committee meeting, Limbavali said, "In 2008, Yediyurappa led-BJP government had introduced anti-cow slaughter bill, but later Siddaramaiah led-Congress government which came to power had withdrawn the bill.”

He stated that the government after reviewing the previous anti-cow slaughter bill, a stringent version of the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Protection Bill will be introduced. Furthermore, he asserted that the members of the core committee demanded a stringent law to be introduced against ‘Love Jihad’ or forceful conversion.

“Thus, we have decided after consulting legal experts, a proper and stringent law will be introduced against the same.”

Speaking on by-elections held for RR Nagar and Sira assembly constituencies, he said that the members of the core committee have expressed their confidence of winning the by-elections held for both the Assembly seats and the biennial elections held for the four seats in the Legislative Council.

“For the forthcoming Rajya Sabha by-polls scheduled on December 1, the BJP core committee has shortlisted the names of four aspirants, out of 12 aspirants. The list will be sent through the state committee president to the party’s central election committee. The central committee will decide the name of the candidate,” Limbavali said.

“BJP has a good organization and stronghold in the state,” he added.

Limbavali asserted that the BJP is all set to face upcoming gram panchayat elections in the state. "War rooms and call centres are functioning at each Mandal level. Those Mandals which are pending to set up war rooms and call centres should make arrangements to set it up," he said.

He said that the 'Gatanayaks' and 'Page Pramuks' have been appointed in each gram panchayath level for the same.

"In each gram panchayath level, BJP has decided to organise ‘Kutumba Milan’ (family meet) to educate people on the development programmes of BJP-led union and state governments,” he added.

there are games, tv shows etc. etc. to keep dogs amused and cheered up... similarly games, puzzles, tv shows to keep cattle happy and entertained should be devised.

It will be a great honour to see humans on stage performing entertainment drama/music/dance for an audience of cattle... every one should look forward to this day...

CM says "Love Jihad" (which is actually a fiction and nonexistence) will be dealt with strictly

Someone else say will bring stricter " Cow slaughter" bill

But no one speaks about Development , Women empowerment , Backward class welfare, stricter laws against rapists, drug mafia and murderers

    This is BJP !!!!!

They only speak on irrelevant issues merely for votes
