Nov 4: Dakshina Kannada records 70 fresh corona cases, Udupi 52; two deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 4: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 70 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 30,585. Out of these, 1,344 cases are currently active.

A total of 2,64,421 samples have been tested. Out of which, 2,33,836 are negative.

As many as 414 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 28,560.

A total of 681 deaths have occured so far, including one on Wednesday.

Over 11,120 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 12,19,552 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,035, including 52 fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 451 cases are currently active.

Over 1,89,652 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,67,617 have turned out negative.

As many as 61 patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 21,402.

A total of 184 deaths have occured so far, including one on Wednesday.
