Oct 29: Dakshina Kannada reports 96 fresh corona cases, Udupi 65; three deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 29: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 96 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 30,010. Out of these, 1,894 cases are currently active.

Over 2,55,507 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,25,497 have turned out negative.

As many as 424 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 27,443.

A total of 673 deaths have occured so far, including two on Thursday.

Over 10,166 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 11,35,485 in fines have been collected by the police.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 21,793, including 65 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 871 cases are currently active.

Over 1,79,428 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,57,635 have turned out negative.

As many as 111 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 20,741.

A total of 182 deaths have occured so far including one on Thursday.
