Oct 28: Dakshina Kannada records 99 fresh corona cases, Udupi 67; four deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 28: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 99 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 29,914. Out of these, 2,224 cases are currently active.

Over 2,51,859 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,21,945 have turned out negative.

As many as 161 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 27,019.

A total of 671 deaths have occured so far, including three on Wednesday.

Over 10,010 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 11,22,535 in fines have been collected by the police.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 21,732, including 67 fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 921 cases are currently active.

Over 1,77,636 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,55,904 have turned out negative.

As many as 125 patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 20,630.

A total of 181 deaths have occured so far including one on Wednesday.
