Oct 27: Dakshina Kannada reports 122 fresh corona cases, Udupi 70; two deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 27: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 122 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday raising the tally to 29,815. Out of these, 2,289 cases are currently active.

Over 2,48,350 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,18,535 have turned out negative.

As many as 260 people were discharged on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 26,858.

A total of 668 deaths have occured so far, including one on Tuesday.

Over 9,871 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 11,11,285 in fines have been collected by the police.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 21,650, including 70 fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 981 cases are currently active.

Over 1,76,204 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,54,554 have turned out negative.

As many as 204 patients were discharged on Tuesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 20,505.

A total of 180 deaths have occured so far including one on Tuesday.
