Bengaluru, Oct 26: Rajarajeshwari Nagar police inspector, Naveen Supekar has been transferred by the government. He had registered first information report against the Congress candidate from the constituency, Kusuma.

Naveen had accused Kusuma, who is the Congress candidate for RR Nagar constituency for the bypoll, of violating model code of conduct. Congress leaders had criticised the officer for this and complained to the election commission. The commission, which viewed the act seriously, transferred him to the intelligence department.
