Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Oct 24: Even though the state borders are open, bus movements between the city and Mangaluru have not yet begun. Because of strict measures taken by Kasargod district administration, people from Kerala who have to visit Mangaluru daily are facing a lot of problems.

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation is willing to run buses to Kasargod but their Kerala counterpart is not responding properly. At the same time, Kasargod administration has been taking stricter measures to stop spread of coronavirus infection.

The prohibitory orders issued at a various places in the district have been extended till October 31. Therefore, granting permission for the running of buses is doubtful, say daily commuters.

The administration has decided to undertake Covid checks at 16 border roads with Dakshina Kannada district. As prohibitory orders are in place, more than five people cannot come together at one place.
