Oct 22: Dakshina Kannada reports 154 fresh corona cases, Udupi 144; four deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 22: As per the Dakshina Kannada district health bulletin, a total of 2,36,841 samples have been tested so far, out of which 2,07,905 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 28,936, including 154 new cases reported on Thursday. Out of these, 2,748 cases are currently active.

As many as 248 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 25,535.

A total of 653 deaths have occured so far, including three on Thursday.

Over 9,088 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 10,37,205 in fines have been collected by the police.

Udupi

As per the Udupi district health bulletin, a total of 164,167 samples have been tested so far, out of which 1,42,875 have turned out to be negative.

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 21,292, including 144 fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 1,541 cases are currently active.

As many as 267 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 19,572.

A total of 177 deaths have occured so far including one on Thursday.
