Mangaluru: Expert College shines in NEET, 80 students score more than 600 marks

Mangaluru, Oct 17: In the All India entrance examination for medical college admission NEET held in September, 1085 of the total 1118 students who wrote the exams at Expert PU College Mangaluru, have secured eligibility for medical admission.

Expert students have bagged 3 of the top 1000 ranks in general merit category, 14 of them securing more than 650 out of 720 marks, 32 students securing more than 625 marks and 80 students with more than 600 marks. Further, 111 students have secured 575 marks, 145 students scored more than 550 marks and 226 students have secured more than 500 marks.

Among the students who appeared for NEET 2020 in all India level, 56 percent of students have qualified for Medical and Dental college admissions whereas at Expert PUC College, Mangalore as high as 97 percent students have qualified for the same, said Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert Educational & Charitable Foundation, Mangaluru.

The students of Expert PU College, Mangaluru, in both Kodialbail and Valachil campuses have excelled in NEET 2020 the results of which were declared yesterday. Aakarsh R Pai has secured AIR 224 and in category 16th rank with a score of 691 marks. Akash G has secured AIR 339 and in category 227th rank by scoring 687 marks.

As many as 14 students have secured more than 650 marks. They are H C Gourish (675 category rank 630), Prerana G Bhat (671 category rank 740), Shashank Y B (671 category rank 694), Varun Gowda A B (671 category rank 719), Shreyas S (670 category rank 84), Samyuktha Vinu Nair (670 category rank 765), Rishikesh N Sherigar (663 category rank 1144), Chirag C S (658 category rank 189), Mahalasa Pai (657 category rank 1560), Vasishta L Swamy (656 category rank 1658) and Manzar Mohammed Hussain (650 category rank 2192).
