Oct 16: Dakshina Kannada reports 220 new corona cases, Udupi 201; seven deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 16: Dakshina Kannada reported 220 fresh coronavirus cases and five deaths on Friday.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 27,959 positive cases have been reported till date, out of which 3,531 are currently active. A total of 2,17,005 samples have been tested, out of which 1,89,046 are negative.

As many as patients 23,804 have recovered and been discharged from hospital, including 391 on Friday. A total of 624 deaths have occured so far, including five on Friday.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, Udupi reported 201 fresh coronavirus cases and two deaths on Friday.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 20,477 positive cases have been reported till date, out of which 1,907 are currently active. A total of 1,52,981 samples have been tested, out of which 1,32,504 are negative.

As many as 18,409 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital, including 255 on Friday. A total of 172 deaths have occured so far, including two on Friday.

    220 cases in DK Dist. Really great. From 400 it has come down to 220. Better try hard cases reduced to nil. If people co-operates and certain stringent action implemented definitely there will be a good result.
