Mangaluru: 'BJP should learn Hindutva from Mithun Rai' - Congress

Mangaluru, Oct 15: "BJP should learn Hindutva from Youth Congress president Mithun Rai, and he need not learn Hindutva from BJP," district Congress president Harish Kumar said.

Addressing media here on Thursday, October 15 he said, "There are different rules for BJP when they are in power and when they are in opposition. BJP is into hatred and cheap politics. When you enter politics, you should leave behind caste and religion. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath should face the criticisms as everyone has the right to criticise. Instead, BJP is playing caste politics into the issue. Yogi Adityanath had 52 cases against him which were withdrawn after he became the chief minister.

"Does Mithun Rai not have the right to criticise the chief minister? BJP should learn Hindutva from Mithun Rai. He need not learn Hindutva from BJP. He is at the forefront and ahead of BJP in terms of preserving Hindu culture and tradition. Being in the post of chief minister, Yogi Adityanath should listen to his critics. If he cannot tolerate criticisms, then he should not be in politics.

"It may be recalled that Swami Agnivesh was assaulted and his saffron attire was torn. None of the BJP leaders raised their voices. In Uttar Pradesh, BJP did not even utter a single word against the rape incident. BJP will speak out only when there is political mileage to be gained in the issue and start chanting about love jihad, traitors, Pakistan and China.

"BJP will speak out only when the murderers belong to other communities. When the murderer and victim belong to Hindu community, BJP will not utter a single word, as though the life of a Hindu has no value," Harish said.

Former Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain thanked chief minister Yediyurappa and education minister Suresh Kumar for swiftly acting on a plea made by a final year student Aishwarya Jain to save her mother via social media. "There are several such teachers who are infected with the virus and have turned critical while some have lost lives. The government should take steps to protect teachers from the pandemic."

Former MLA Mohiuddin Bava demanded the arrest of the culprit who attacked a former taluk panchayat member at Kulshekar.

Former mayor Harinath condemning the complaint made by Jogi community president Kiran said, "Jogi community president Kiran, who is a self-proclaimed president, is unaware about anything as he complained against Mithun Rai for insulting Jogi community due to some political pressure. When the circle near Circuit House was named after Jwalanath, these BJP leaders removed the name board and created havoc during the meet over naming the circle. Why did the Jogi community not raise voice against it? I challenge the president to have a face-to-face discussion on the ongoing issue."

Yes.. in Democracy everyone has the right to criticize others. But there is decent way to do it. Yogi Adityanath is not a road side politician, but was 5 times Member of Parliament before he became CM. Are people there fools to elect him? And moreover he is a head of a hindu cult, so it is unwarranted by Mithun Rai to trample the effigy of Yogi Adithyanath. Mithun Rai could have refrained from doing it but he could have criticized Yogi Adityanath for his failures for which no one could have objected. Very childish act from him and in future he will not win an election from Dakshina Kannada, such will be the curse.

Ya learn next time BJP wil win with margin of 5 lakh in Loksabha if Mithun gets ticket or BJP wil win by margin of 30000 if Mithun gets ticket in Assembly election . Dakshina Kannada is always for BJP Hindu wall .Over that if congress leaders say like this it's like side lining Mithun Rai .

The netas from the INC, collectively must seriously introspect about the sad state of the party in Karnataka and in the entire Union of India !!! They must do " Chintan " n discover ways to confront a formidable BJP government... Recklessly giving sound bytes will factually fetch them peanuts !!! They must realise that the masses soundly and decisively thrashed them with impunity in the National and state elections !!!

The INC netas must seriously do " Chintan " They are unable to face the onslaught of the ruling dispensation... There is no avenue left, but to go back to the drawing board and plan a viable strategy, to counter the BJP !!! Aimlessly venting out anger, frustrations, will further alienate them in the sight of the citizens of Karnataka !!!!

'BJP should learn Hindutva from Mithun Rai' – Congress

Why one party has to learn Hindutva from the other party or any individual like Rai ?

Hindutva is neither owned by any political parties nor their ancestral property.

Hindutva is just “a way of life ” of Hindus

Dear Sir, I never said anywhere Hindutva is bad. I just said about the bjp interpretation of hindutva. The bjp has twisted the true meaning of hindutva just like the jihadis and some sects in christians have misinterpreted Islam and Christianity. Forgive me if was wrong.

There are two kinds of Hindutva. One is bjp dicatated hindutva and the one the sanatana Dharma hindutva. One is bjp hindutva and one is hindutva of love peace brotherhood. One is bjp hindutva and the one explained in the sacred books and the one taught by the bjp.

Quid Pro Quo for agreement during resort stay politics ??? Where is the Justice in India when millions are languising in Jails due to the very slow judicial process.

Religion is personnel property (like your personnel belonging) don't put on the road. BJP has taken religion/cast as trump (Mudda) and fooling the public/voters, emotionally. There was no problems with Hindu, Muslims Christians, Buddhist's etc .... before this Government came to rule.

Now people has to realise why the difference between the casts is happening more now, who is doing this, and for what. And where Indian democracy stands at present.

People has to understand that, (specially the politicians), when you come to know a person has done wrong, (specially in public ) you (Public) have full authority to comment/criticise the act in a democratic country like India.

Before pointing fingers at other parties look at your party first and see who is using religion for electoral gains. RaGa was a Janedhari Brahiming in Guj elections, A bearded muslim in UP, A Christian Megalaya and then eventually had to run Wayanad Kerala where he won on Muslim votes. Mind you he has never been to this place in is whole life. Now tell who is communal?

Religion should not be a part and package in politics. politics is to look after the welfare and well being of human being .Involvement of religion in politics will not prosper our country, it will fragment and only certain communities will be benefited. we all people of different faith should keep religion to ourselves , be friendly and help each other.

Its obvious you win only in certain constituencies, Vadra Congress cannot win a election in DK, Mlore, rejected by people, they want to criticize some one in UP.? Why ? Whats the logic?
