Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 3: Dakshina Kannada reported 258 new coronavirus cases and nine deaths on Saturday.
Over 344 people were discharged on Saturday taking the total discharges in the district to 17709.
As many as 24019 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 258 on Friday, and 5,744 cases are currently active.
As per the state bulletin, 566 deaths have occurred till date in the district.
Udupi
As per the state health bulletin, Udupi reported 158 fresh coronavirus cases and one death on Saturday.
Over 297 people were discharged on Saturday raising the total discharges in the district to 15,662.
As many as 17,789 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including 297 on Saturday and 1,973 cases are currently active.
As per the state bulletin, 154 deaths have occurred so far in the district.
