Udupi, Oct 1: A fisherman who went into depression due to the burden of loans on account of loss in business he had undertaken ended his life at Modutonse on Wednesday September 30.

The deceased, Krishna Kanchan (42) hailed from Moodu Tonse. He was involved in fishing activity at Malpe for the last two decades. It is said that he had entered into some financial commitments as he wanted to undertake a business. However, the business went into loss and he was left with huge loans. He was living alone.

Malpe police have registered a case of unnatural death.

    He is only a Fisherman ,not a farmer. So nobody bothers. If he was a farmer there would have been a big Hue And cry from all so called leaders.
