Mangaluru, Sep 26: Investigation of Anchor Anushree, who was summoned by police for inquiry with regards to the drug case linked to association with Kishore Aman Shetty and Tarun, was completed in the city on Saturday September 26.
The inquiry was held by the cops under the leadership of DCP Vinay Gaonkar. The questioning stretched for three and a half hours.
It is learnt that, in her defence, Anushree disclosed with the police that she knows Tarun Raj since 12 years and he has done dance choreography for her for a period of six months. Anushree also said that she does not have any drug related relation with Tarun Raj.
Speaking to the scribes, after the interrogation, Anushree said, "I have answered all the questions that were posed to me by the police during the inquiry. If I am asked to attend further investigation, I will do so. Police did not confirm today about any further investigation with me. Drug mafia is a ghost that has overtaken our state. Police are trying their best to eradicate it. We all have to cooperate with them."
Anushree met police Commissioner Vikash Kumar Vikash after attending the inquiry at Panambur police station.
Speaking to media, the police commissioner said, "If required, Anushree will be called again for further inquiry. The probe is under process pertaining to drug party. The probe is not completed. As of now, no one has been issued notice.”

Mangaluru, Sep 26: Popular TV actress and anchor Anushree, presented herself before the police here for being questioned relating to the allegation of drug use on Saturday September 26.
She was expected to be questioned at the narcotics police station at Pandeshwar here. However, at the last minute, the venue for her questioning was changed all of a sudden. Her questioning session is now going on at Panambur police station in the city outskirts.
Anushree offered herself for the questioning session earlier than the time set for her. She came at 9 am after which the police began to pose questions to her.
Initial questions, it is gathered, centred on her association with Kishore Aman Shetty and Tarun. The session is likely to continue till evening on Saturday.

Mangaluru, Sep 26: Popular TV actress and anchor, Anushree, is likely to present herself at the narcotics police station here on Saturday September 26 in connection with the notice served on her by the city crime branch police here relating to the drugs case.
The police had served notice on her to be present for investigation before September 29. Anushree had informed them that she would appear for questioning on September 25. The police and the media were waiting for her arrival on Friday at the office of the assistant commissioner of police but she was not seen until evening. Sources said that she has arrived in the city and will present herself for interrogation on Saturday.
The city crime branch and cyber crime, economic offences and narcotics police station personnel had arrested choreographer Kishore Aman Shetty, and Aqeel Nausheel, in a joint operation. They also had questioned another person, identified as Tarun. During this process, they were told that Anushree had a role in the drugs issue. Therefore, the notice in question was served.
Anushree, in a Facebook post, said she had no role in the drugs case and that just because she was called for questioning does not mean that she is a criminal. She said that she would cooperate with the police. She also expressed the fear that too much media hype might divert the truth. She stated that she and her family members were hurt by the way some media have been projecting her role in the case.
Both Kishore and Aqeel have been sent to judicial custody by the court till October 9.
